That time of year

I like you when the flowers are blooming

When I'm dancing in the rain

And the water droplets bead through the grass while I lay there daydreaming of you

I love you on the lake in the deep heat

Splashing and laughing

The happiest I've ever been

I worry about you as leaves light up the sky in bright yellows and reds

The smell of the fresh crisp air

I feel you distancing yourself from me in the cool wind

I miss you as snow drifts through the air 

Red cheeks and runny noses

Dark nights come earlier as I lay on the frozen ground wishing that I had you back

Lovely poem with a good transition from light to dark. The beginning was so serene and pretty and joyful, while the end was sad confused and lovely in its own way. Very well done:)

you should throw this poem in with the 'free writers', they deal alot with flowing free like you've shown us here. instead of a rhythm you've given us this great open stretch of feeling and senses with each line.
if i look at it a certain way all together, your writing reminds me of a willow tree. its a good thing! ^^
