It's like everyone I'm close to is going on in their lives and leaving me behind

I watch them move on

I can relate to this. I'm becoming more and more different with every step I take, it seems. Ooh, that's good. I'm saving that for a poem. Anyway, all my best friends are growing away from me, and it really hurts. I'm sure that some day, I'll find someone just like me, and we'll just live one gigantic party, but for now, it hurts.

Glad I could relate. :) After 8th grade promotion, I joined Facebook. Now I still hear from everyone. It's almost like sitting in class with them every day. Great, I just made myself cry. I'm so random... :D

Haha it's fine, 8th grade was actually the best year of my life if we're being honest with each other, but I understand Im so emotionally connected to people, it's complete s**t haha

:D i really miss middle school, but I can't wait for high school... It's very conflicting. 8th grade was the best for me too because all the people I knew finally kind of started to actually know me. I keep to myself a lot, so they didn't really know what I was like. It's a shame I had to leave them right when we were getting along though. :) I hope 9th grade is just as good!

Freshman year was really hard for me, but it different for a lot of people I guess it depends on your mindset.

:) Yeah, and the levels of jerkiness of your peers. I was only teased regularly by 2 or 3 kids last year, so it was good. I hear Freshman year is harder because high school is so different and you're not ready yet. We shall see...

I understand the poem. People grow up and forget to enjoy life. I watched people change and wonder if they are more content or just accepted less. I tell people who are willing to listen. Find time for laughter and good friends. Life is hard. Better to make time for fun and do your best to be with good friends and family. Last line is opportunity. Find something you enjoy to do and hope there are more people with the same desire. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem. Made me think.
