Marmoset

Marmoset

A Poem by Cosmic kid

Your pretty words, lies.
The feeling of your skin against mine, your manipulating hands
They smother me with hate and resentment.
I was head over heels for you,
You knew it,
You used it to your advantage,
You taught me a lesson though,
From all of those nights crying myself to sleep to ignoring me,
I learned to never completely depend on anyone for happiness.

"I learned to never completely depend on anyone for happiness."
It is sad when we learn disappointment. We close doors to all people. I like the story in the poem and the honest ending. Thank you for the excellent poem.

I believe that, in life, there is truly only one person on which we can fully rely upon. That person is ourselves. From this writing I suspect that you may believe the same as well.
A very emotional and heartfelt piece of work...
