Bye

Bye

A Poem by Courtney Taylor

Don’t look for me

I don’t want to be found

Don’t cry over me

When you don’t even want me around

I’m done

You smother me

I’m suffocating

Just leave me be!

And stop with your hating

I am who I am

And that’s who I want to be

Just me.

You might “own” me

But you can’t control me

I’ll do what I want

My opinion, it’s mine

My thoughts are mine

I’m getting older

And now you’re crossing the line

So, bye.

I have forgiven you all those times

And now I’m leaving

For good.

So, don’t look for me

Because I don’t want to be found

And don’t cry over me

Because you didn’t even want me around.

So, bye.

'wow'
if that's all I can say, I'd be lying;
it's sad...but rational

Wow, I like how you get your point across, very blunt but the words flow almost flawlessly. I love the last stanza, especially.

Wow!
A superb write!
The last stanza is a winner to me!
What i love the most is the attitude of the poem..its kinda positive..like the person has resolved to move on, no matter what..i love that optimism!
Good job!
