Turn Around

Turn Around

A Poem by Courtney
"

Just something I wrote up real quick. Not a best one, definitely! But I hope you enjoy it all the same! <3

"

Break the mirror that distorts your image, for

Even it will tell you lies.

Hidden figures grow to new heights

In the background of your mind.

Never focus on the coal black shapes,

Do not allow your valor shine.

You cannot escape what is set to be.

Only you can postpone it. Ignore the beasts

Unless you’re set to turn around.

Very playful and quite well done. As an acrostic poem it is well worked, the theme glimmers in the light that is the flow bringing both to a well sprung conclusion.
The conversation with the reader is direct and yet, not so firm as to be over bearing. Because of the quality of your submission, its imagination in application to the rules of the contest you entered it into, I awarded it so highly.
Thank you for entering this work in my contest.
