Rise Again

Rise Again

A Poem by Courtney

I believe everyone finds their time.
I believe we all stumble and then fall.
I believe we learn to stand up again.
Each one of us will hit that ending point
When we wish for our lives to drift away,
But I shall tell you now, death shall not come.
In that moment, we cry out to heaven.
In that moment, we know we cannot move.
In that moment, we are reborn again.
I tell you, I have made this point my home.
And you who hears these words and knows my pain,
I welcome you as brother, sister, friend.
When they turn from you and leave you for dead,
My home is yours. And one day, I shall leave.
You will greet the lonely souls at the door.
On and on, the cycle will continue.
We trip, we fall, we rise from the ashes;
Together, we will always rise again.

Sounds like the Phoenix, reborn from its own ashes. A hopeful poem, IMHO. That one day we can become better than we once were. Beautiful.

Courtney, I loved this line "In that moment, we are reborn again". That's the part of the amazing journey of life, we trip, we stumble, we fall and rise from the ashes to a new beginning.
