The Hunted

I really don't have anything to say (Shocker, I know...). Enjoy!

I didn't know what to expect.

All I knew was that I had a job to do.

To kill.

To assassinate.

To make me some easy money.

I didn't know that my first and last victim,

was my one true love.

I didn't know that because I loved him,

My life would always be pure Hell.

That people would always hunt me.

I would always be the Hunted.

Ah, but it's worth it.

"But it's worth it", the best ending I've read so far in this site. My teachers used to tell me that a good writing is determined by how great the ending is, if so, this is by far the best poem I've read until now here. Raw thoughts were used to create this piece, I enjoyed as I read through the lines of the hunted, the thoughts inside her. She will always feel those people's pressence, but it's worth it. Spectacular!

To me, this poem is kind of metaphoric. Quite interesting, or my mind just interprets too much. haha. As if saying that this person in your poem is destined to be the 'assassin' of love, and whenever this person hurts another half, he/she will be hated by the others. If not, this is just simply a short story of the hunter and the hunted. haha. Interesting. Thank you for making my mind thinks :)
