He Use Too

He Use Too

A Poem by Coyote Song

He use to love me, this he said
Now he wishes I were dead
My heat is broken, I will die
Alone at night all I do is cry
Time will heal all, it doesn't feel that way
I'd rather just sleep through the day
Winter I would die but spring is all new
The love I felt for him is finally through

A sad yet realistic tale. I agree with Leslie, it has the sound and tone of a country music song. It would be a good one, that's for sure.

Like this, this has the character of a country song,
or early Dylan. Good work from an old friend.

Thanks so very much.
The pain of life. One of many. But you were strong enough to out live the pain. A sad but triumphal poem. Very good.

Very well written. This is a dark and painful poem about a dark and painful subject. I'm glad it has a happy ending.
