Your Necklace

Your Necklace

A Poem by CRP

I've held on to it

And still wear it

Every single day

Without fail.

When you had to part from me,

You had given your precious,

Precious necklace to me.

You said to keep your necklace

As proof

That you would come back

And stay mine.

I'm certain you're coming back soon,

In three and a half days,

To be exact.

I'll be there

Right when you get off.

I'll be wearing a smile

And, of course,

Your necklace.
