ive never heard of her before- this is awesome, i think it shows that anyone can do anything regardless of gender or anything like that--yes most girls can't play football due to the agilitay and strength/weight you need, but nonetheless, i think if a girl wants to play football or any other sport that is "manly" i think they should go for it--they could be good! what an inspiration this sam gordon is

When I was in high school we had a girl who switched from cheerleading to playing football. She was good and it is decidedly rare to find a girl playing football like that with the boys. And she was pretty too! Then she vanished for a long while, think it turned out that she was seriously bipolar. kind of a disappointment, really. She seemed a bit extraordinary, but it turned out she was merely crazy. I hope that this young one is something else entirely and that she truly enjoys her sport!

Thanks. This girl touched my heart just a cute funny story and the video is cute of her running past the boys, theres a video of showing her getting hit hard a lot lol but she gets up. Interesting. You are into female athletes?! No, I don't think that I have read any of your other poems about female athletes. My little anecdote about the girl I went to high school with was just what you made me think of, or rather, what I think of everytime I see girl football players. It is clear that you thought the girl cute. Very cool.

it started with me writing poems about the US Womens soccer team lol. im a huge fan of the US Women's soccer team lol so I wrote several acrostics about some of the members including Hope Solo, ALex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe :P

Ahhh. Cool.
Abby Wambach is from Rochester, so we're all big fans of the woman's soccer here. And my friend B.'s little sister is a really good soccer player, won county or section player of the year in high school and just finished her senior season at Akron. We thought she'd end up playing for the us team someday, but I think she's beat up and doesn't want to do it anymore.... If I were going to write about a woman athlete, it'd be Julia Mancuso all the way. she really embodies what ski racing is supposed to be!
