Shattered Heart

Shattered Heart

A Poem by Crimson Goddess

Broken hearts
Shattered dreams
Pain, loneliness
Sorrow, tears
I hide in myself
Why does no one understand?
I trust, then i'm betrayed
Should I give up?
Or keep going?
Does anything really matter?
I want to be loved
Truly honestly and without regret
I wanna relax on cloud 9
Someone to call mine
Sometimes the pain doesn't seem worth
The time spent
and the tears cried
I wanna laugh until I cry
When I say I love someone, I mean it
Is there any hope for my Shattered Heart?

Wow, I felt like I was reading something I could have written about myself. The same emotions and feelings of betrayal, loss, sadness All the tears I've cried.
Fortunately, we can allow these emotions to flow and yet, as we grow,
garnering more and more wisdom with each and every day, allowing the experiences of falling down and picking ourselves back up, we learn to realize, that this truly is 'life'. We can only learn by our mistakes and trials of pain, yet we can appreciate the beauty in the smallest of things. Like the smell of rain as it freshes the grass, a babies smile.
These things happens to each and every one of us. We can each find our own individual ways to heal and move forward.
Sorry I'm waxing poetic here; but then you and I are poets, so we're allowed to do this. ;-)

You have really expressed yourself very poignantly, with your ability
to put pen to paper and express your deepest feelings.
I think it's very cathartic to write, I believe it allows us to let go and open a path for healing.

Thank you for sharing this affecting poem, it aroused my deep emotions,
that allowed me symbiotically to connect with your heart.
Your friend,
Anne
