Glass Boy and Paper Girl

Glass Boy and Paper Girl

A Poem by OctoberDawn
"

Opposites attract

"
There once was a glass boy, transparent and alone
Seldom did he cast a shadow though his thoughts were always known.

Along came a girl with creased and pressed skin
Her heavy heart held her down, a girl so paperthin.

Harsh words would light like fire and burn her to ash
Piercing glares would reduce him to rubble; his fragile heart smash

But being both fragile neither knew hurtful words nor ways
So they loved eternally and held each other all their days.

This poem was very beautiful. I loved how it had the rhyme and still was complex. The lines were very detailed and thoroughly thought out. I loved the lines
" Harsh words would light like fire and burn her to ash
Piercing glares would reduce him to rubble; his fragile heart smash"
I thought that was really unique to how easily they could be broken yet they never were unkind to others. This was so touching and sincere.

The metaphors describing the visuals and feelings are amusing and I really enjoyed this piece ^.^

The story in this poem is simply adorable...although I'm more of a dark and twisted poet/storyteller, it did bring out the mushy side of me :P

The metaphors you used define the word "fragile"....so easily put to fire...so easy to break. A very clever write.
