Coffee

Coffee

A Poem by Cristiana Joy

Coffee is my drink of choice

Opens my eyes, starts my voice

Coffee is my gasoline

Revs my engine, keeps me lean

Coffee is my pick-me-up

Little splenda, fill my cup

Coffee is my affliction

My absolute caffeine addiction

Coffee is my love today

Coffee is the love that stays

I'm a Tea man myself but I'm English I don't know any better. Plus I need to maintain my pearly whites to break the, "English Men have bad teeth" thing

A few years ago, I gave up coffee for an addictions class. Unfortunately, I accidentally gave up caffeine as well because I'd purchased uncaffeinated diet Dr. Pepper and diet iced tea. Most miserable semester of my life! Of course, as soon as the class was completed, I drank an entire pot of coffee. Goes to show you the power of addictions!
