When I was with you, I was alone

but didn't realize it

until you left of course

then the dreams and

I realized that it was natural

and all a lie

it wasn't you I missed

it was the imagined comfort

that you gave me

until you left of course

I had a dream
where I ignored you

not sure what to think

I've asked my self

if I still love you

and I thought we'd be forever

until you left of course
