A Poem by Sherline Heriveaux Poetry

When will summer stay?

When will winter never go away?

When will fall linger?

When will spring fever last forever?

When I am complete.

When I will never want,

When I will never need.

Summer will stay,

Winter will never go away.

Fall will linger.

Spring fever will last forever.

Hmmmmmm....every season all the time huh? You know, you can't have your cake and eat it too. tell memore about what being complete means to you. ( : O )

There's much more than humour in this deeply philosophical piece, (at least to me!)

I liked this simple beautiful peice. The repetition gives it a childlike feel that belies the mature message it conveys. I enjoyed this juxtaposition and thought it really made the poem. Well done.
