Dear Dad

Dear Dad

A Poem by CrystleDawn

I find it hard not to think of you, as the days progress. Seasons in my life bring new trials and I wish you were here. Though I know you will never hold me up again. I find myself missing the memory of your comforting embrace. I know it was short, yet I find myself waiting for your return. As if you left on a journey, like I might take someday. I wonder how different life would have been. Would she have fallen? Would sanity remain deep inside? Protection you would give, proud of me, glad to help me live. For this end a reason I can't comprehend. If you can hear this cry of love, just know I hope it's heard from above. I give you up you never were. This sorrow isn't new. Just know Dad, today I thought of you. love you dad
