Being taken to hospital with chest pains

She made a lovely tea Chips some meat and a packet of savoury rice

It was so nice

 

Send for an ambulance

Tell them to hurry

Stupid questions they ask

"Where is the pain?

Is it bad?

Give a number one to ten"

 

Tell them eleven !

"No it cant be more that ten"

 

Can he speak for himself ?

"No"

 

An ambulance is on its way

 

Knock on the door > First Responder

Another knock

Paramedic

Yet another

Ambulance

 

Pulse is high 120

It goes higher on the exercise bike

Ooo now its 40

Never goes that low

It doesn't usually fluctuate like that

 

Were are taking you in 

 

Blue and twos all the way

 

Out of the ambulance at the trot

Electrodes from head to toe

Taking blood

Left alone all wired up

 

How do you feel now

I'll be back

Were moving you to a ward

Keeping you overnight

To do some tests

 

On the Ward

Settle in and have a good rest

 

Next morning

All your checks are OK

It was a case of severe indigestion

I advise you to keep off packets of savoury rice

We have sent for your family to pick you up

And how often does that happen... fear over, food fetish blamed! Those packets of savoury rice have much to answer for.. better stick to spuds, methinks. A clever and smooth piece of writing, concern holding sway Then, that cheeky finish. Could have been worse, but you gave us a happy ending.

Apologies, I thought I'd commented on this the other day.
A wee scare to keep you on your toes eh, and caused only by spicy rice.
The over 50 medical is a bit of an eye opener but not as much as the endoscopy that follows, eye watering and the final no vote in ever being gay.

Worst bit was getting the ambulance Questions > He a 'First Aid Instructor' he told me he needs an ambulance - he is unable to answer questions -Yes he is breathing
Paramedic more interested in my high BP then the wide variations from 60 at low to 12o at high > both normal for me
They sent a Cardiac Specialist "Do you know why I am here?
Yes my BP you are not the first to question it
At 21 in the RAF it was 60 in hospital > An ex racing cyclist fro 12 YO to 26 the fell walker & cross country runner > I take it up to 130 on my exercise bike - warm up for a while _ it goes to 100 as soon as I start pedalling then I take it up to 120/130 them begin to warm down - My temperature is below normal

All that time with hard exercise has changed your metabolism Keep up the exercising you are not overweight

Pleased to say Rennie's are obtainable across Europe.
Had a few problems when on organised trip > ' you can eat/ drink this - I know' > well you can eat /drink what you wish ------

A happy ending thankfully. Indigestion can often be mistaken for heart problems. I do like poems that have a happy ending Wild Rose. Pleased to hear all is ok.
