At the mouth of the fjordur

Watching the changing colours 

As the sun sinks in the sky

 

The ever changing colours

Blues; Red: Yellow and Green

Many variations in between

Too many to copy

Pictures to help the memory

Is the best we can do

 

This is the darkest part of the day

From here the sun began to rise in the sky

It is hard to understand that it never went dark (in winter they say it never gets fully light - like that in some parts of the Lake District where the steep fellsides hide the afternoon sun - so it it lightest in the morning and evening)
Did you get to see the Aurea Borealis

We managed to get a shore side site - pics taken from inside our camper The sun never actually touched the horizon > Thanks to you I have rediscovered more unfinished/edited work

I feel like I have equal amounts of unfinished/finished writes at the moment. The good thing about that is, there's always something to work on if I can't think of anything new. :)

Love the posted image Wild Rose. Was the duplication of words intentional? I enjoyed the imagery you conveyed with your lines. In Iceland on Midsummer's day, there must be very many hours of daylight.

Stupid machine

Thank you for you comment In Iceland (summer) there is no dark just a sort of dusk - the daytime sun came in almost horizontal
First day was the last dat of winter and it snowed going over a moor land (Moordalur)
Next day in shirtsleeves > went Whale watching on evening - half mile south of the Arctic Circle
Came home with 3000+ pictures
Two week after our return they had the first snow of winter

Sounds like you had a great time. Thought the duplication was probably a mistake. You can correct it by going into manage writing and editing the extra lines.
