Heart In Mend

Heart In Mend

A Poem by Mazie

Be not a sunny day nor blackened night
I go without regret for what I lost;
No way to see, my words and deeds at light,
were truly that; the act which brought the cost.
Now words could make me know, nor sights for-show
what soon would be our perfect friendship
Lost and, Oh! Not so - the "perfect" ties we hold,
And that, the gash which cannot stitch
Your gentle laugh and witty cracks are gone,
And I am here to face that pain I've known;
That tearing shred of heart I've patched upon,
Now does that patch wear thin when I'm alone...
And when you smile at me once again,
Be that the day you'll see my heart in mend...

Pretty nice to read. The aches of your beautiful heart piercing into the vein of the universe having some tears in your shimmery eyes. Very nice poem. Your emotions are enough to make this write glorious reading. And, yeah.. I hear you. Sometimes what we lost can never get it back throughout the whole life, and such things we always lost when we are in love, because once the love gone, it never comes back to the same life--Love's not meant to be returned nor the things we lost at night. Excellent work! ;)

I really like this one. The way the words are arranged leaves a sense of mystery that is quite beautiful. The pain and progress of mending is very well penned. Thank you for sharing.

From your choice words and the flow of them, this read like a dream except for a few lines that are out in the syllable count..but I enjoyed it very much. good rhyming too...Bravo.......Dee

I thought the witty cracks was obviously about humor so I don't see the need to put that in your notes. To me the whole poem was pretty clear and I love the way it's written.
