Moon Dust

Moon Dust

A Poem by CynRick Kincaid

MOON DUST

High green grass a pleasant place to rest
This quiet
spot I so often go
The only sound the beat in my chest
I lie under the moons soft glow
In a dream flying through dark space
On top a shooting star I race
Gather up moon dust in my pocket
To place in  my true love's locket
Some say the dust from the distant moon
When placed in a special one's charm
Cast the moon's spell and entwines the arm
Forever to make your love swoon
After time I get up from where I dwell
To realize I was under the moon's spell
