Bruce Wayne

Bruce Wayne

A Poem by Cyprian Van Dyke

A fire burning in the fireplace;

A star burning in outer space.

A woman cuddled in my arms;

like Catwoman next to Batman.

A new day dawns in Gotham;

A new star is born on Krypton.

A reporter catches sight of me,

In Metropolis named Lois Lane.

A new reporter for The Daily Planet

named Clark Kent rains on Metropolis.

As I return to Selina Kyle, in Gotham

The news about Superman rockets.

What I know in my heart I see in my mind;

It’s gone from comic to cosmic in no time.

I must find out more.

I must know for sure.

Being a fellow comic aficionado; this one made me laugh, and I thank you for that.
