Greed Simplified

‘When a wolf cries at the funeral of a young lamb he does so not because he laments a life not fulfilled but because he sees that shortened life as one less stolen meal he could have eaten.

When a human who’s soul is darkened by greed cries at the funeral of a child born into a lower income family he does not do so because the child was denied a long life but because he believes he is being denied another victim he can steal from to feed his own greed.’
