July Paris Girl

July Paris Girl

A Poem by Dan Bullock
"

A momentary meeting can unexpectedly change everything :)

"

The biggest eyes were the surprise

As the girl questioned her status

I wrote down my name for her to explore

I lay my smile at her door

The freedom of no expectation

Isn’t a new invention

But the perfect intention

Is it laid with truth?

Her mousey brown hair as I tried not to stare

And the girl inquired her curiosity

I wished her good luck with a nod and then

Got off the train to never see her again

This isn’t a sad tale of a maybe

It wasn’t possible she would save me

But a perfect innocence

Needs no confirmation or proof

We watched people, weather and kept our eyes together

So the girl restored my heart

I never took her name but all this is fine

As I left her the clouds broke, with sunshine

Ah the giving of the number and no call back. I do that as well. You don't need them to call, you don't need them to save you, but just seeing that beauty for even a moment makes you remember there is beauty. Not all of them are the same. Maybe its not over. Love I mean.

These are the type of things that make me remember why I love life. How perfect, and how perfectly written.
The strange happiness we can discover in each other by simple kindness and pure innocent intentions.

Great stuff. The perfect relationship. You sample the promise without the following 5 decades of gradual death. Actually I don't mean that last bit. But th shared moment your words capture sounds entirely uplifting. And if it can happen once...

Delightful. A chance encounter that left one feeling rejuvenated and renewed. Somewhat melancholic in that more did not come to fruition between them but their brief encounter nonetheless was also uplifting and beautiful.
