Sarcophagus

Sarcophagus

A Poem by Dionysus Cain
"

What it means to you

"

Stay my distance

Knowing my distance

Closer,

than farther away

Singlefileline metamorphosis

Transfiguration on display

The comfort is pain,

Consumed inside of flies

Bent back fingernails

Articulate  solicitor

Pretending about there,

Which isn't here

Generic composure

Wide open in a field

To experience such a thing

I can't go with you

Looking up at the rain

Save yourself

I'll continue to search here

in vain,

for me
