The Kings Of Horror

The Kings Of Horror

A Poem by DEAN FARNELL

Vincent Price got it right
With his mastered eerie voice
Hammer Horror I bow to you
You made the perfect choice
The Werewolf he was played by Lou
And particularly hairy
When that moon was rising
Things got a little scary
Micheal Myers & Jason
Who lurked behind the mask
Bumped off teenage scumbags
What a Joyous task
Count Dracula depicted
By Bela, Christopher
Perfect vampire legends
Can't choose which I prefer
Peter Cushing's steely stare
His face It never laughed
The coolest of the masters
An unrivaled horror craft
Boris Karloff monsters face
Made by Frankenstein
No-one better came along
With a face made so divine
The Munsters & The Addams
The Ideal family
I found them all delightful
The perfect guests for tea
Finally your acting skills
I'm not trying to be funny
It seemed a wasted talent
For those that played the Mummy

As an avid horror fan I really liked this! I love hammer horror as well as the old classics of Karloff, Lagosi, Long Cheny Jnr and the like. It made a nice change to read a poem like this - thank you!
