The Monkey And The Whale

The Monkey And The Whale

A Poem by Poetic Injustice
"

In honor of "Talk Like A Pirate Day" a fellow co-worker challenged me to make a piratey sounding poem. This took 4 minutes so be gentle.

"

Avast ye mateys and I’ll tell you a tale

About a monkey and about a whale

The monkey was mascot aboard the ship

And one day, in foul weather, overboard `e did slip

Up came a whale and swallowed `im up

But the monkey was in no mood to be it’s sup

So it tickled the whale’s sinuses for awhile

And out the blowhole the monkey flew a mile

So where is that monkey today you might say?

It’s the purser in charge of all of your pay

I found it so weird, it was funny. I love the "slap in your face" line at the end

good job for something so quick

Blessings for your weekend,
