My Flute and Me

My Flute and Me

A Poem by Dai Edenburough
"

An ode to me, my flute and the music we make!

"

My music comes from the flute.

Most people don't give a hoot,

     But that doesn't bother me!

My music fills me with glee!

     When I play me flute,

It can make people happy or mournful.

But to those that give a hoot,

It makes them illogical.

So most of the time I play me flute

For pretty much for meself.

     Yet every now and then,

There's a passer-by that would like

To hear the music my flute and me make.

So now, my flute and me live to

     See those days, the days

When those people that like to hear

Our music, and the magic that we make.

i guess the flute doesn't get the recognition it deserves. it's good to know how to play a musical instrument. there is satisfaction for playing for oneself. excellent poem.
