Where did we go?

Where did we go?

A Poem by Daniel Gardner
"

For you

"

You say I need a break
But you won't let me sleep
You say you want me
But leave me to beg and plead
I helped bring you out of the dark and into the light
Now that you see me you seem to run from fright
I can't understand the distance
That makes me feel you want to end this
I expected the pain and sorrow
I did not expect our love to be hollow
There's nothing more I can do
But sit wallowing in my grief

A disappointment in love leave us alone and confuse. Poem story is sad. Only happy ending in loss of love is to find a real love to erase the pain of the one who broke your heart. A excellent poem.

It is a part of all relationships…
there comes a phase when we become dubious of other person….
But…all successful relationships
transcend differences….in the long run..
Nice poem…… It reflects a piece of reality….

I know how you feel man!
great poems can come out of hard times though,
and this i think is one of them! :)
I love the opening lines:
"You say I need a break
But you won't let me sleep
You say you want me
But leave me to beg and plead"

it really sets up the poem!

yeah, break ups are hard, been there too,
but I once heard "what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger"
just don't let it get to you so much, it'll be ok! :) GREAT POEM!!!

I know what you mean my friend. The have only been three women in my life I have loved. My first wife and mother of my son, who I will never stop loving and was I miss her every day. My second wife, who walked all over me and broke me down. And my best friend, who decided I wasn't good enough for her. I know the pain, my friend. It is tough, but you will overcome. Funny for that advice, as I still am not...

Well, anyway, this was a very nice read. Thank you for sending it to me.
