Flowering Field

Flowering Field

A Poem by Dani California

With grace I move forward,

Searching for solid footing

On scorching hot concrete;

Once stumbling on a field

Bursting with colorful aroma,

Where I find momentary comfort,

To soothe my injured soles.

Whilst the world keeps turning,

I cannot stand in one place;

So embark once again

Amid the afflicted,

Till I find another flowering field,

To lay amongst its soft petals

And forget.
