LeavingA Poem by Daniel AgostiniAbout wanting to escape to somewhere new.Leaving I want to leave, to quit, Without knowing what next is to come. I’m ready to go, I think, But once it’s done, it’s done. There’s nothing like the feeling, Of escaping what’s tied you down, But maybe the bonds to be broken, Weren’t the one keeping you on the ground? Maybe it’s the memories, The days spent under the sun. They’re what threaten to keep you here, Never seeing what you could have done. All in all, it can not be quick, To make the decision to leave. Because once you’ve left… you’ve left… But you can always turn back if you need. Daniel Agostini © 2017 Daniel AgostiniAuthor's Note
