Soldier

Beaten down, bruised and scarred

Weak, hurt, tired and charred 

Drained and pushed to the limit

Still fighting through every hit

This Soldier fights on through it all

Torn and broken still staying strong

Trailing through the right and the wrong

Finding strength to carry on

Gaining power though so alone

This Soldier will never fall 

This Soldier will take the pain

Looking only to gain

Someone who feels the same

This Soldier will play the part

This Soldier is my heart
