Uterine Fury

Uterine Fury

A Poem by Danielle Searby

No baby sleeps on antihistamine.

Wither and you break from me.

The fetal growth, the child you are.

Your toothache cry, a bright star.

Erupt from your gum. I hold your hand.

I'll let you walk and stand.

Budding life and a deep breath.

I hold you to my breast.

I believe the strongest bond in life is between mother and child. Your poem captures the essence of nuturing. Concise but so descriptive...exquisite

A excellent poem. I had to read a few times. So many strong lines. Ending was perfect.
