He'll Never Tell You Why He Did It

He'll Never Tell You Why He Did It

A Poem by Danielle
"

A continuing poem for You, Me and Him

"

He'll never tell you why he did it,

What he did that day.

He feels no remorse, no single pain,

But this man, is over run with shame.

Why did he do that?

Put the gun against here head?

Why did he kill her,

Make her dead?

He'll never tell you why he did it,

Why he spilt her blood that day.

He'll just say it was an accident,

Or there was no other way.

He's always on my mind,

Why the law let him get away.

But I promised myself this,

I'll get him one day.

I like this. it is simple (I mean that in a good way) and rhymes and reads well. In t he second line of the second stanza - I think you mean her head - and not here head.

I also found confusing how in the beggining of the poem you mention that he has shame, but later on give the impression that he would make no apologies for his actions - here I feel that he seems like someone without guilt, remorse, or a conscious, so he would not be surrounded by any shame because it would not feel it.

Just my take on it.

The third stanza is my favorite. It read so powerfully. Good topic choice. Very interesting.
