You are forgiven

You are forgiven

A Poem by justdandy
"

We all have sinned. But there is a God that will heal, forgive, and cleanse us....

"

A woman is walking down the street.

She's crying for help

She's crying for mercy.

Today she had sinned.

NO, not only today,

She sinned everyday, every hour.

She was walking a path.

A path for the stained.

A path full of decayed souls.

Today, she gave up,

Gave up and continued

To live the life full of shame.

A woman was walking down the street.

She walked and she cried,

She cried for forgiveness and for healing

The woman had suddenly stopped.

She entered a Church,

and began to weep.

In big, bold words,

a banner was hanging,

it recited the verse from the Bible:

"Then he adds:

'Their sins and lawless acts
I will remember no more.' "

The woman knelt down,

And begged to be washed,

And begged to be forgiven.

And suddenly she hears a voice.

A voice full of strength,

A voice full of grace:

"You are Forgiven,

You are Washed,

Now go and don't sin ever again."

We are human beings. And as human beings we sin all the time... There is no person on this planet that didn't sin... I wrote this poem because I want to tell all of you, that there is a God that will forgive you and make you clean. He is the God of eternity...

I love this. One of my favorite versus in the bible is John 8:7, "And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, 'Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.' " This is a great representation of what Jesus' message really was. Not, "F**k the Gays", but, "Love your neighbor". No sin is forever.

yess, I am so glad that you understood the concepts
^^ I liked reading the poem, it was like a short story. I agree, we have all sinned one way or another, but God offers us freedom from those things and forgives and washes us clean. Very thankful He does, because we all need it!

Good Job
