Say you're sorry again

Say you're sorry again

A Poem by Summer Blue

Say you’re sorry again…

Babbling excuses for your absence…

Believing your own recent repeated phrases…

Say you’re sorry again…

Rambling on about how it is not me, it is you…

Rehearsing every line, because it has to sound like the truth…

Say you’re sorry again…

Talking to me like nothing should be wrong…

Seeing I cannot look at you, knowing you’re a con…

Say you’re sorry again…

As I tell you that you’re same old words mean nothing…

Hearing your own meaningless words pouring off your lips…

Say you’re sorry again…

I have believed you…I have listened to you…

Now I have seen your colors true…

Say you’re sorry one last time…

In hopes that I will believe it once more…

I will say I am sorry for you too, as I walk calmly out the door …
