Taste the Rainbow

One of those Hemingway-esque six-word stories, 'cause I felt like it.

Today it rained Skittles. Everyone Danced.

Not sure if "rained" is grammically correct. If anyone can tell me if I'm right or wrong there, that would be splendid.

"rained" would be the correct tense and usage. I've never danced for Skittles ... or because of them - yet I can picture it.
