I like the sound of the city also. I would sit in coffee shops and listen. Sometime there is bad things around you. But if we are lucky we can hear the music and give a smile and friendship to a new friend. A excellent poem. I like the description and the story.

Cities are often poetic metaphors, and the good thing is that it can mean so many things. From this perspective the bustle of activity is something to lose oneself into, expecially when life becomes too demanding. Having done the same thing, I can relate well. Another excellent write...
Interesting perspective that could be somebody's escape.
"Even when I feel like crap
I know it will get better
Because I just walk the streets
And listen to the
City sounds"
I don't live in the city but it's funny i would do the same thing but instead walk at night and enjoy the silence and space.
Nice description in this poem, good details that make you smell and hear and feel everything that's going on in these scenes. It does feel a little amateur and your words could be amped up as they are rather mundane and some phrases like "bad smells" is lacking in creativity. But overall, really good poem and enjoyable to read and experience.
