shadow surrounding me

it tightens its choking hold

no one can tell

i’m dying

 

people of the darkness

following the only charge

no one can see

the shadows

 

whispers of death

murder is in the air

no one can hear me

they have me

This is great! No, it is not too morbid, by the way. It is carefully worded, thought-provoking and slightly cryptic in places. Also, for such a relatively short poem, this is quite powerful.

Whilst reading, I felt reminded of isolation, suffocation and being imprisoned by the darkness! In view of this impressive piece, I think that you should join the "Dark Poetry" Group (on this site)! I am also a member. There are some really interesting talents, amongst us! And of course, thankyou for entering my latest Contest!
