If Only You Knew

If Only You Knew

A Poem by Dark Tower

If Only You Knew

I love you

He doesn't say it

But he feels it

In each hug

He feels it in every lingering stare

In every one of those moments

He ran his fingers through her hair

Tracing circles on her back

Holding her close

Will he ever really know

The feelings she invokes?

She's laughing again

He loves the sound

Suprised by the happiness

With her he found

He feels something

He can't describe

Never felt this way before

He feels alive

Life with her

Is he really thinking about it?

Has she touched such a delicate part

That she has evolved his heart?

He's scared of her

Scared of the way he feels

Because his heart beats faster at the sight of her

He feels so alive with her

He can't deny he'd do anything

To keep that smile on her

He feels something

He can't describe it

He feels more than just love

He grows tired of trying to hide it

There's a reflection

Of a destiny

A mere glimpse of perfection

In her eyes

Just behind the twinkle

It flickers and shines

And plays on his mind

Every night he's hoping and praying their futures are entwined

I'm talking about me

Writing about you

Prayi ng that you knew

There are times

When I can't believe

Just how it feels to be loved by you

The days have gone by

And I

Have fallen deeper and deeper in

Love with you

And I'm worried and I'm scared

Truthfully I wasn't prepared

To be blessed

To be have an angel sent

To me

And Sweetness

My angel is you

You're the hope I have of a better tomorrow

You're a sense of direction

My heart has always followed

You're the sense of fillfulment

I need to not be hollow

You're more to me

Than you could ever even begin

To believe

I love you

Not because you made me a better person

But becaue you made me a better me
