An Oil Tanker

A Freak Explosion

Oil Everywhere

A bunch of animals

Under the sea

Not expecting a thing

No warning

The water turns brown and murky

Oil clogs the animal’s mouths and noses

Suffocating them

The dead ones float up to the surface

The bottom feeders don’t even make it that far

They pile together at the bottom of the Ocean

Some are lucky

They escape with only minor injuries

20,000 Leagues under the sea

A massive killing

An animal Genocide

The people on the ship

Are mourning

Not for the animals

Instead for money they lost

The spill made them lose hundreds of barrels of oil

Thousands of dollars down the drain

The animal death toll is way worse

The oilers don’t pay for their crimes

They only make money

And the poor animals have to pay

An unseen genocide

An unknown genocide
