I am

I am the air around you,

The silent ray of sun,

Reminding you about me

And whisper day is done.

 

You may never know my presence,

And though you do not know,

I‘ve always been around you,

In moonlights faintest glow.

 

I am the violent wind,

that pushes you to hurry,

Away from dangerous strangers,

That miss you as you in a flurry.

 

 I am the flyaway hat,

Ensuring you miss the train,

Before a bomb is blown

And  turns the place to flame.

 

I am the tangle of hair,

Knotted on a tree,

That keeps you minutes more,

Away from death to be.

 

 

 

Sometimes you feel my presence,

A reflection on the glass,

For a second you see my face,

But do not care to ask.

 

I have always cared for you,

In ways you do not know,

Protecting you from danger,

In ways you’ll never know

 

I am the random stranger,

You turn as I walk by,

This is our last encounter,

I’m sad to say goodbye.
