Tokyo, Japan

Tokyo, Japan

A Poem by Satoshi IroTzu

Under a blue bubble.
Cherry blossoms fresh spirits.
In soft and dark nights
Tokyo pulsates through Neon Lights.
Carried on a breeze
a man with a face
now abandoned by twenty-one grams.
In the spirit of spring ...
departure worthy of a King.

I love the mood shifts in this poem (from peaceful scenery to night-life filled with energy and then back to a more tranquil mood again). This poem really fits my image (I've never been to Tokyo) of Tokyo's famous cherry blossoms and night life scenes. :)

Nice imagery. I just don't understand the part "now abandoned by twenty-one grams" and what "outro" means?

I like the way the imagery clashes in this! Delicate and harsh, nature versus urban, lots of opposites. Definitely packed a lot in for how short a poem it is!

I appreciate your time that you took to read and comment my poem.
ネオン右より多くのネオンの光にある東京ニューヨークとラスベガスの置くよりも一緒に詩を興味深いが、私はわからないが何を意味する (放棄二一グラム) まだそれを読んで楽しんだ。
Translation
Neon is right, there is more neon light in Tokyo than New York and Vegas put together, interesting poem but I am not sure what you mean by (now abandoned by twenty-one grams) still enjoyed reading it.
