The Power of Prayer (Colossians 1:1-14)

By Eric Darsie

By the will of the Father,

A letter sent to a group of Christians.

Faithful to the Son of God

And His bride " the Church.

We may not realize it,

Yet our faith encourages others.

Our love for others

Builds them up to Jesus.

Love is one aspect

That the Gospel truly lives within.

If we believe in the Good News,

It’ll bear fruit in us and through us.

Being filled with knowledge of His will,

Spiritual wisdom and understanding "

Beats all earthly knowledge

Because earthly knowledge will fade.

With His wisdom,

We’ll gain truth about His glory.

Giving thanks to the Father

For being strengthened by the Spirit,

All endurance and patience with joy,

Praying for others as they prayed for us.

I like this. In order to be a light and help strengthen people in the faith we need to do what is right and be an example and to do so we need to know God's word so we know how we should react to certain situations. It is a life time learning experience. And I like how you point out how earthly knowledge will fade away...everything on earth, the way we know it anyway, will fade away. This is something to look forward to, since that means there will be no more pain, tears etc.
