Torment

Torment

A Poem by DaughterNature

Convulsed, I, and twisted in my mind,

do roil when darkling shadows circle by.

Their winged forms, so soft in dastardly,

come here with hopes of overtaking me.

And with their play, my treasure, it is lost.

So pay I, dearly, truly for its cost.

That all of life hath so ignored my trust,

is now the point that I despise the most.

In now uncertain ways of where to wend:

all this, I fear, all ‘tis about to end.

Good work. I got a bit confused for a minute there, but the title helped me to figure out what you meant. I really like the language you use and your descriptive words. Keep it up!
