A Palate

A Palate

A Poem by Dayran
"

The taste for variety

"

People who like the colors of the earth

And people, who love the colors of the rose

Sailing on the rhyme, in a ship.

Where they're going, no one knows.

A clue, a hint and a cue is all they have

Their wit the compass, courage the rudder.

While the captain is at the back, water skiing.

Mchell was a Captain of a PT boat during World War Two. He water skied behind it when ever he got the chance. I'm not sure what that has to do with color but your write seems to be playing with my thought just like he did with his sailors. Good write

Fun poem!

Loved these last lines

Their wit the compass, courage the rudder.
While the captain is at the back, water skiing.
