Why haven't I cried today?

Why haven't I cried today?

A Poem by Death's Poet

I feel guilty
I haven't cried today
Why haven't I cried today?
I miss you.
I haven't forgotten you
So why haven't I cried today?

People say time makes things better
And maybe it really does
But it's not fair. I should have cried today
They say you wouldn't want that
That you would want me to be happy
But are you glad I didn't cry today?
I feel bad when I cry
I feel just as bad when I don't
Purely out of guilt I may make myself cry today
It's been quite a while
But you are worth mourning still
I'm laying here, I'm crying today

I read this as in moaning for a love one within a time. I can relate my best friend has been gone for 5 years he was a rare friend I know I will never have again. He was like my dad. And he saw me as a son. I do miss him and time did ease the pains inside.

This is amazing. You really have a way of conveying that shadowy realm between reality and emotions, and it especially shows in this poem. The contrast is spectacular. In this poem, you showed that despite each and every reason you had to cry--despite the fact that you had lost someone who you dearly loved, there were still no tears. And at the end, when you had developed the aforementioned idea to its peak, you finally cried. You had a compelling use of repetition in this poem. You eloquently conveyed that eerie feeling when our actions just don't seem to match our emotions. Great work.
