"You're really wierd." Poems

A Poem by Chris Rampersad
"

Having fun with poetry.

"
The first time I saw you, I knew you were the one,
Your shape stood out in that crowded room,
Excitement filled my soul,
Then I walked up to you and smiled,
And whispered softly,
I must have you,
you're going home with me,
The room fell away as I stared at you,
You went home with me that day,
To te place that you would stay,
My mother was speechless as she stared at you,
From her chair she admired you,
Oh you have made me so happy,
My lovely,
My beautiful,
MY NEW FLAT SCREEN TV!

Oh very funny, I've really enjoyed the way you build up to the punchline, didn't see it coming at all. For example:

"Then I walked up to you and smiled,
And whispered softly,
I must have you,
you're going home with me,"

...marvellous, excellent poem.

lol. I am. Thank you for reading my writing Daniel.
i agree. i didn't see that coming. conveys passion and desire for what we think is a person, but it turns out to be a tv. it's funny how people can feel that way about their tv's. a very deceptive poem. excellent job.
