Loves Destiny

Loves Destiny

A Poem by Debra Stevens Edwards (debby)

Loves Destiny
You tease and astound as you move in and around me
A baroque by Bach playing the language to set us free

Chased by rain pouring down on our shared umbrella
We stop to watch the beauty of sunset on the veranda

Or we separate devastated in times of turmoil and war
With much tears and heartbreak like every time before

True love is not a mere flight of fancy, even a fantasy
Its a lifetime and many that bind two hearts in destiny

Then when reunited our hearts will once again soar
Until our souls reach the pinnacle of heavens door

Our lives move on still twisting and often bending
Death is but a ripple in our story of love never ending

This love was always now and forever meant to be
I chase you through many lives past it is our destiny
