The Lotus

The Lotus

A Poem by Deidara

Dare I contrast thee to a lotus bloom?
Thou rosy cheeks far outshine its plain dye
Your chocolate hair festooned with red plume
flows freely in soft gentle wind and sky
Your gentle spirit soothes turbulent seas
Calmly you guide troubled hearts toward peace
Your playful voice carried by the swift breeze
You bring my blustering heart to a cease
but as with all happiness surely fades
So does my heart fall prey to endless despair
The lotus bloom leaves sharp as razor blades
Onto blood bound oath does thou surely swear
like the hopeful lotus to bloom once more
to live to love to risk to try once more
