Ch. 1 Love at First Site.

 Kyo was the new kid in town. Kyo was 16. He had brown hair that was below his ears and bangs that were, most the time, in his eyes. To go along with his brown hair were dark brown eyes. He was in really good shape, with a six pack of abs and some muscles in his arms and legs. He wasn’t one of those gothics who cut themselves and listened to emo music, he saw himself as more of a punk rock kind of guy. Kyo wore two necklaces. One was kinda like a chocker but was a styled leather one. It had a unique marking like the ones you see on the cover of really old books. The other one was like that one, but had a piece of metal on it. On the metal, there was a symbol, a star inside of a circle. It was the symbol of the Wiccans for that is his religion. But most the time he never told anyone because of all the hatred most people had for them. He listened to rock and metal. Writing quotes was also one of his hobbies that he really loved to do.

He had moved to Kyowana two days ago and he would be starting the high school Monday. The school wasn’t that great. It was like any other school you see, two stories with a big fountain in the front. Ok maybe not the typical high school but I guess you could say it had some money.

Kyo went to the principal’s office Monday morning to get his schedule. He was wearing one of his favorite pair of jeans that were a faded blue with some chains hanging down, and he wore a HIM shirt. It was the first day of school and everyone was talking about what they did over the summer vacation. Everyone was really hyper and excited. Checking with their friends to see if they had any classes together. A girl named Chiisu walked into school with her schedule, looking for her first class that was History.

Chiisu was 15. She had shoulder length hair that was light brown, with big green eyes. She wore a light pink blouse that went below her shoulders. She had a brown skirt with a maroon belt on. Chiisu lived in a small complex not too far from the school. Most of the time she walked to school with some of her friends. After school her and her friends would go to a small coffee shop by the library and hang out and talk. Chiisu adored her friends very much; they were the whole world to her. Walking around the school, you would always see her smiling and bubbly. It was a rare occasion that you saw a frown on her face.

Chiisu was hanging out with two of her friends when Kyo walked out of the office pulling headphones out of his ears. He had his book bag on his shoulder with a small notebook in his hand. Kyo slipped his ipod into his pocket and walked on. Chiisu looked up from talking with her friends and saw Kyo. She smiled at him and blushed a light pink.

“Hey you guys, he is pretty hot.” Chiisu said looking at her friends. She smiles at them and they smiled and nodded in agreement. Kyo looked around the hallway, looking for his class and looks over at Chiisu. He sees her smiling and gives her a friendly smile.

Chiisu and her friends split when they hear the bell ring for first period. She goes to her first class and takes a seat in the back with some of her other friends. Chiisu bends down in her seat and starts to talk to them before the class starts. Kyo walked into the classroom and went up to the teacher giving him a piece of paper to sign. The teacher signed it and motioned to one of the many seats in the class. He took a seat in the back diagonal from Chiisu and got out a sheet of paper and copied down what the teacher was writing on the board.

She leaned over towards him looking at the piece of paper and whispers, “You don’t have to copy the notes,” she looked up at him. “Mrs. Joice will give us notes on the subject later.” Chiisu winked at him and returns back to her seat, smiling.

Kyo smiled and leaned over toward her this time. “Thanks.” he said leaning back. Chiisu blushed a soft pink for some reason and went back to her work.

She looked up to find the bell had rang and looked over at Kyo. “Do you need help to your next class?” she asked, looking into his eyes blushing.

“Um…” Kyo looked down at his schedule. “I have Art next with Mrs. Brown.” Kyo looked up at Chiisu giving her a half smile, his hair falling into his eyes.

“I’ll take you there, I have art next also!” She gave him a big smile, takes his hand, and pulls him to art class. Kyo was a little nervous being pulled down the hallway but there was a small blush on his cheeks.

They walked into the classroom, which had what looked like lab tables for their stations. There were beautiful pictures that students had drawn on the walls and even on the windows. Kyo went up to Mrs. Brown and gave her the same note that Mrs. Joice had signed. She signed it and he then went to sit down. Chiisu saw that he was sitting and none of her friends where in this class with her, so she went and sat by Kyo alone.

“You will really enjoy this class. Right now we are doing Gothic art, and it has to do with a lot of the color black for some reason. But it’s really easy.” She blushed realizing she was still holding his hand and let it go. “Gomenisai.”

Kyo blushed a little. Then bit his lip looking down at his necklace. It was his Wiccan necklace with their symbol on it. “I like Gothic art.”

Kyo opened his notebook and inside were random pictures he had drawn over the years. Chiisu looked over in the notebook and the only one she saw before he turned it to a clean piece was a black rose with blood dripping off it into a pool of blood. She pulled out her notebook and looked inside it. All her’s were off pretty stuff like cute dogs and cats or pretty flowers, nothing like his. Chiisu quickly closed her notebook and looked over at Kyo.

“You are a great drawer.” She bit her bottom lip a little, and looked over up at him.

“Thanks.” He said with a half smile. She is pretty cute for a preppy girl. She is starting to grow on me. Kyo frowned when he realized that he didn’t even know her name.

“What’s your name? I’m Kyo.” He glanced up at the board looking for what their assignment was for the day. It was to draw something that symbolized them in whatever way they wanted. Kyo already had an idea……well sort of.

“Oh sorry….my name is Chiisu!” She blushed and started messing with her skirt. Kyo smiled at her, then went back to his notebook and started to draw. Chiisu went to her work also trying desperately to think of something to talk about to pass the time.

Soon the bell rang and Kyo and Chiisu had to go their separate ways. The day passed by slowly for Chiisu. She couldn’t wait to see Kyo again. Kyo, on the other hand, his day was going by really fast. He couldn’t wait until their lunch hour and finally get a brake from all the stares. His plan was to go out past the fountain and sit on the wall that surrounded the school and eat his lunch quietly, hopefully, without the stares.

Finally, after going through Math and English, the bell finally rang for lunch. Kyo walked down the hall and out the front door of the school. He jumped up on the wall and sat there. He wasn’t hungry so he didn’t eat anything. Taking out his cell phone, he looked through some pictures, smiling at some.

Chiisu walked out of the school soon after Kyo, walking with her friends to sit down at their usual spot at the fountain. She looked around looking for Kyo and saw him sitting at the wall by himself.

“I will be back guys.” She smiled leaving her friends and walking toward Kyo. Her friends whistled and said “Get ‘em girl!” while she walked toward him. She blushed, but kept walking.

Chiisu sat up on the wall next to him and laced her hands together in shyness. Kyo, noticing her, quickly closed his phone and looked at her.

“Oh, hi Chiisu. Why aren’t you with your friends?” He seemed kind of puzzled.

“I wanted to keep you company! I saw you over here all by yourself and wanted to come sit by you. Plus, we’re friends. Aren’t we?” You could hear a little pain in her voice with her last few words.

“Of course we are friends. I just thought you would want to sit with your other friends instead of just with me. That’s all.” Kyo blushed a little and looked away. Chiisu blushed also but watched him. She took his hand and laced her finger with his and laid her head on his shoulder. It started to snow with little snowflakes coming down. In an hour or so, it would look like a winter wonderland outside.

“Isn’t it beautiful?” Chiisu asked getting closer to him. Kyo smiled.

“You’re right, it is beautiful.”  Kyo’s cell phone rang in his hand. He had received a text message.

“Shit,” He looked over at her.  “I have to go home. It is an emergency. I guess I will see you tomorrow?”

Chiisu nodded. “Yeah.” She was really hurt that he was leaving her, but if it was an emergency……she could let it slip by. Plus, she would see him tomorrow. School had started again and he had to go to school. So she would see him soon. Kyo smiled seeing that she understood he really had to go.

“Bye!” he said as he started to run down the sidewalk, heading home. Chiisu smiled as he ran away to do whatever he needed to go do, but deep inside she hoped that it wasn’t the last time she would see him. Kyo bit his lip as he ran home. He felt really bad for making her sad, but he was needed.

Chiisu sat there for a few minutes looking at the direction where Kyo had ran. She then got up off the wall and headed inside to finish the day and go home.
